SATC’s John Slattery on And Just Like That Ending Like Mad Men

Indeed, after nine seasons of television and two movies, Parker signed off as Carrie Bradshaw again on Aug. 14. In it, after decades of epic loves and jaw-dropping dating stories—including with Slattery’s Bill Kelley—Carrie finished her novel and realized that like her protagonist, she was heading into her latest chapter “not alone, she was on her own.”  

As for whether this is truly the end of the SATC story, only time will tell. For Slattery, the door on revisiting Carrie’s world remains ajar, but he’s previously emphasized the door is firmly closed when it comes to more Mad Men. 

Though he would certainly be open to reuniting with costars like Jon Hamm, Vincent Kartheiser and Rich Sommer on a different project. In fact, he and Christina Hendricks have already teamed up for a forthcoming movie—though this time he’s behind the camera.
