SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026: Registration Opens for 6,589 Junior Associate Posts

The State Bank of India (SBI) has begun online registration for the recruitment of Junior Associates – Customer Support and Sales (SBI Clerk) for 2026. The application link is active at sbi.co.in, and the last date to apply is August 26, 2025.

This recruitment drive will fill 6,589 vacancies (regular and backlog) across the country.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: 20–28 years as of April 1, 2025 (born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005, both inclusive). Relaxation applies for reserved categories as per rules.
• Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Final Year Students: Can apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of graduation by December 31, 2025.

Selection Process

1. Preliminary Exam – 100 marks, 1-hour duration.
2. Main Exam – 190 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes duration.
3. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) – 20 marks; mandatory for candidates not having studied the local language in Class 10 or 12.
