This move enhances the platform’s commitment to delivering regional content to its subscribers, offering access to local news, sports, and entertainment. Among the newly added stations are WVIR-DT3 (Charlottesville, VA), KLCW (Lubbock, TX), KTEN-DT2 (Ada, OK), KCWT (La Crosse, WI), WLFI-DT2 (Lafayette, IN), and WJBF-DT3 (Augusta, GA). This expansion builds on YouTube TV’s ongoing efforts to broaden its local offerings, following a 2023 deal with Nexstar Media Group that brought nearly 60 CW stations to the platform.
WVIR-DT3, a CW affiliate in Charlottesville, Virginia, is set to launch on YouTube TV by the end of July 2025. Operated by Gray Television, this station serves the Charlottesville market with a mix of CW’s popular primetime programming, including dramas like All American and Walker, alongside local news and community-focused content. The addition of WVIR-DT3 ensures that viewers in central Virginia can enjoy both national and regional programming tailored to their area.
KLCW, broadcasting from Lubbock, Texas, is another CW affiliate joining the YouTube TV roster. This station delivers a blend of entertainment, sports, and local news relevant to the West Texas region. Known for its coverage of high school sports and community events, KLCW strengthens YouTube TV’s appeal to viewers seeking hyper-local content.
