A Leak Has Revealed a Ton of Production Content From Cartoon Network

A massive leak of Cartoon Network files has been shared online, revealing behind-the-scenes content from your favorited animated shows from the network.

Mashable reports that the material came from a Google Drive folder that the outlet was able to access, showing over 200 GB of material from shows like Powerpuff Girls and The Looney Tunes Show. An anonymous account on X leaked the content over the weekend.

In addition to the content found in the folder, there was also a doc linking to even more files. The links to a file sharing site contained content from additional shows including Teen Titans and Robot Chicken. Files included model sheets, puppet rigs, storyboards, and other materials.

Mashable reports that many of the links have been taken down and attempts to share the links online are getting copyright violations from parent company Skydance, though that isn’t stopping social media users from sharing everything from screenshots to full recordings of Powerpoint presentations.

The files offer a unique look at the production behind the network’s shows. There are character drawings, showing exact proportions and notes about features and expressions, giving an inside look at how animators create, develop, and replicate each design. Presentations show how the world of The Looney Tunes Show came to life, from sketches to detailed settings to connecting with audiences through the show’s classic characters. Fans got a never-before-seen look at their favorite shows and characters, while animators have been able to see the processes created by a massive animation studio.

The leak comes just days after Paramount acquired Warner Bros. Discovery in a $110 billion deal, naming the combined company Skydance. Skydance now owns Cartoon Network, Paramount, Warner Bros., Paramount+, HBO Max, CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, CNN, CBS News, and more.
