Maxine Productions has expanded its leadership team with the addition of unscripted content veteran Anneka Jones as the executive vice president of development and current programming for their series and feature productions.

Jones joins Maxine after departing from Left/Right Productions, where she served as chief content officer.

Mary Robertson, founder of Maxine Productions, announced the news, saying of Jones, “Having been fortunate to work alongside Anneka for over a decade at Left/Right, I know firsthand the qualities for which she has become recognized around the industry. She is a dynamic, versatile executive and producer, capable of combining journalistic rigor with strong commercial instincts.”

She continued, “Her addition marks a pivotal moment for Maxine, as we build on a wave of successes and invest in an ambitious nonfiction slate. I look forward to our next chapter together.”

In her new role, Jones will grow the studio’s development slate, drive sales strategy and oversee current series and feature productions. Additionally, she will contribute to upcoming titles, including an untitled project on the Alexander Brothers’ soon-to-be-announced series and features in development with Vox/New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed and more.

Founded in 2022, Maxine Productions has produced a collection of documentaries and other titles, including “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of TV,” “The Fall of Diddy” and “June,” among others.

“I am thrilled to join forces with Mary, a long-time friend and collaborator, as well as her incredible team at Maxine,” Jones said in a statement. “I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon the company’s remarkable success by expanding its production capacity and accelerating its creative efforts.”
