How to Install Cinema HQ on Firestick & Android TV
In this guide, we are installing the Cinema HQ app on an Onn 4K Pro, but these instructions also work on Firestick/Fire TV as well as other Android TV/Google TV devices.
Note: This app does NOT work on the Fire TV Stick Select model. This device does not run on Android OS and instead uses “Vega OS” which is Amazon’s in house platform.

2. Click the search bar or Hashtag icon at the top of the screen.
3. Type the following Code: 730987 and click Next.
4. If you see the following message, select Details in the lower right-hand corner.
5. You may then have to click “this unsafe site” as pictured below.
6. Wait for the app to download.
7. Click Install.
8. If you receive this Google Play Protect message, click more details and Install anyway.

15. Click Okay for this disclaimer message.
16. You have successfully installed the Cinema HQ app on your device.
17. The final step before using Cinema HQ is to protect yourself with a VPN since this is an unverified streaming app. See our VPN on Firestick tutorial for more details.
How to Integrate Debrid Services
While Cinema HQ does have free links, for best results we suggest integrating a debrid service like TorBox. You can easily do so within the settings of the application. Follow the steps below for more details.
1. Click Services from the left menu.
2. Locate TorBox (or your preferred debrid service) and click the TorBox API Key box.
3. To locate your TorBox API Key, visit your TorBox account dashboard (torbox.app/dashboard).
4. Enter your API Key and click Sign In.
5. That’s it! You can now access premium TorBox links when streaming content within Cinema HQ.
Note: We are streaming Night of the Living Dead which is a public domain movie not protected by copyright.

Cinema HQ Review
Cinema HQ packs a lot into a single APK, but it comes with some trade-offs you should weigh before installing. Here’s what you should know before installing.
What We Like
- Rapid development with frequent updates and an active changelog
- Premiumize, TorBox, and AllDebrid integrations
- Debrid sources work alongside free streaming links
- Trakt integration for watchlist and viewing history
- Built-in live TV section with free sources
- Anime section with dedicated subgenre browsing
- Retro gaming section
- Built-in video player with subtitle support, audio track selection, and download manager
- Supports external players alongside the built-in option
- Open GitHub repository with public release notes and bug reporting
What We Don’t Like
- Legal status is questionable and unverified
- VirusTotal flagged two malicious files when we scanned this APK
- The app asks to use your device’s “unused system resources,” with no clear explanation of what this is used for.
- Not available on Google Play, Amazon App Store, or Apple devices
- Free streaming links can buffer and be unreliable
- Real-Debrid support was dropped in a recent update
- Some live TV sources go offline and require the developer to replace them
- PIN dialog and text field focus issues persist on certain TV devices
- D-pad navigation bugs have been reported on Firestick and Android TV (fixes ongoing)
Is Cinema HQ Legal?
TROYPOINT can’t determine whether these unverified apps like ‘Cinema HQ’ hold the proper licensing.
TROYPOINT recommends only accessing media not protected by copyright such as those that fall under Public Domain status.
The end-user is responsible for all content accessed through unverified apps. For verified options, see our list of legal streaming apps.
Is This App Safe to Install?
It is extremely important to check these “unofficial” applications for malware/viruses before using them and the best way to do this is with VirusTotal. Below is a screenshot of scan results from the official APK file on GitHub.
Cinema HQ VirusTotal Scan
VirusTotal found two malicious files in the Cinema HQ APK. We should always protect ourselves with a VPN when streaming content from unverified streaming platforms. Proceed with caution and understand the security risks if you decide to use this third-party app.
Final Thoughts from Troy
Cinema HQ has grown into one of the more feature-packed free streaming apps available today. The combination of movies, live TV, anime, and retro games in a single APK is rare among competing options.
Before trying it, read the security warnings above and connect to a secure VPN. This app should not be used without one.
